Hidden Rides Package - Trotting For Scholarships
This is the final product filmed and edited by Justin that shows the CAC rodeo cowboys and cowgirls practicing. Practicing includes everything from obstacle courses with tires, using a bucking machine, and roping cattle. Nearly all of the students in rodeo have full-ride scholarships and are maintaining good grades while being exceptional at their sport.
CAC coaches and cowboys/cowgirls were very willing to speak about their experiences and had a lot to say regarding scholarships and the sport they've chosen. Rodeo is not only an uncommon sport, but one that requires a lot of extra time and money. Cowboys and cowgirls have to take care of their horses full-time as opposed to simply buying equipment. In regards to earning scholarships, it is much further beyond just being good at your sport. A full-ride rodeo scholarship could be taken away at any time if the cowboy or cowgirl is not doing well academically. The footage was shot using a camera and tripod as well as a drone, and edited using Adobe Premiere software. |
I'm probably better at Rodeo than basketball and baseball that's for sure." |
Cell Phone VideoSome footage shot from a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 during the Hidden Rides team's visit to Central Arizona College. We got to meet the coaches and members of the rodeo team and were allowed a close-up view of what happened on a typical evening of practice. The female voice speaking is Skyla Teel, the assistant coach.

All of these boys and girls compete at different events weekly. Part of why they like to be here in Arizona is because we rodeo year-round." |
Audio SlideshowEdited by Justin using Adobe Premiere, our photo/audio slideshow gives a glimpse of some of our best shots of the CAC rodeo. It includes interviews as well as royalty-free background music.

These kids are kind of on their own. They get a college scholarship and they have a lot of responsibility on their own." |
